Bhavana, ഭാവന, Karthika Menon is an Indian film actress from Thrissur, Kerala, who works in the South Indian film industry. She made her acting debut in Kamal's Nammal (2002), which won her critical acclaim and various honors. In a career spanning over a decade, she has appeared in over sixty films and won two Kerala State Film Awards.

ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ ഒരു ചലച്ചിത്ര താരമാണ്‌ ഭാവന ബാലചന്ദ്രൻ. മലയാളം, തമിഴ്, തെലുഗു എന്നീ ഭാഷകളിലായി അഭിനയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. സം‌വിധായകൻ കമലിൻറെ നമ്മൾ എന്ന സിനിമയിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ്‌ ചലച്ചിത്ര രംഗത്ത് തുടക്കം. യഥാർത്ഥ പേര് കാർത്തിക എന്നാണ്. ഒരു പതിറ്റാണ്ടിലേറെയായി അഭിനയരംഗത്തുള്ള ഭാവന, അറുപതിലധികം ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

In 2013, Bhavana appeared in the Malayalam films Honey bee and Ezhamathe Varavu. In 2012, Bhavana appeared in the Malayalam films Ozhimuri and Trivandrum Lodge.

In 2010, she starred in her first Kannada film alongside Puneeth Rajkumar acted in Jackie which was a blockbuster. Following the film's huge success, the film was dubbed into Telugu and Malayalam. Bhavana was said to star with Emraan Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan in an upcoming Bollywood film. Her second Kannada film Only Vishnuvardhana with Sudeep opened to a big response.

2010ൽ പുനീത് രാജ്കുമാറിനോടൊപ്പം വൻ വിജയമായിരുന്ന ജാക്കിയിലൂടെ കന്നടയിൽ തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ വമ്പൻ വിജയത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ഇത് തെലുങ്കിലും മലയാളത്തിലും മൊഴിമാറ്റം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു. തൻറെ ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ മലയാളം ചിത്രങ്ങളായ ഒഴിമുറി, ട്രിവാഡ്രം ലോഡ്ജ് എന്നിവയിലൂടെ മലയാള സിനിമയിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചു വരവ് നടത്തുകയാണ് ഭാവന. ട്രിവാഡ്രം ലോഡ്ജിലേത് ഒരു അതിഥി വേഷമായിരുന്നു.

Bhavana South Indian Actress Early Life

Bhavana was born Karthika Menon in Perinkavu, Thrissur, Kerala, the daughter of Pushpa and assistant cinematographer, G.Balachandra Menon. She has one brother, Jayadev, who currently lives in Vancouver, Canada.She studied at Holy Family Girls' High School, Chembukkavu, near Kerala state zoo Thrissur. Bhavana, who describes herself as a restless and a confused person and someone who's "hard to handle", states that she had grown up with a dream to become an actress. She recalls that, as a five-year-old, she used to imitate actress Amala's scenes from the Malayalam film Ente Sooryaputhrikku in front of the mirror and was even willing to jump from a building and break her arm, like Amala's character did in the film.

മലയാളചലച്ചിത്ര രം‌ഗത്തെ അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് ഛായഗ്രാഹകനായ ജി. ബാലചന്ദ്രമേനോന്റെയും പുഷ്പയുടേയും മകളാണ് ഭാവന. 1986 ജൂൺ 6-ന് തൃശ്ശൂരിലാണ് ജനനം. സഹോദരൻ ജയദേവ് കാനഡയിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നു.

Bhavana ഭാവന Film Career

At age 16, Bhavana debuted in the Malayalam film Nammal opposite newcomers Siddharth, Jishnu,and Renuka Menon. The film was a big success and she got several offers in Malayalam. She won many honors and a Kerala State Special Jury Award for the film. Bhavana was an 11th standard student when she got her break in films. She has acted with almost all actors in Malayalam cinema. She has got many offers lined up in Tamil and did many projects with famous Tamil actors like Ajith Kumar, Madhavan, Jayam Ravi, Bharath, Jiiva and Srikanth. She has been doing glamorous roles since 2008.

പുതുമുഖങ്ങളെ വച്ച് കമൽ സം‌വിധാനം ചെയ്ത നമ്മൾ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിൽ സിദ്ധാർഥ്, ജിഷ്ണു, രേണുക മേനോൻ എന്നീ പുതുമുഖങ്ങളോടൊപ്പമായിരുന്നു പതിനാറാം വയസ്സിൽ ഭാവനയുടെ ചലച്ചിത്രാഭിനയത്തിൻറെ തുടക്കം. താരതമ്യേനെ സാമ്പത്തികവിജയം നേടിയ ഈ ചിത്രത്തിനുശേഷം ഭാവനക്ക് ഏറെ അവസരങ്ങൾ മലയാളത്തിൽ കിട്ടി. മലയാളത്തിലെ ഒട്ടു മിക്ക മുൻ നിര നായകന്മാരുടെ കൂടെയും ഭാവന അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മോഹൻലാൽ, മമ്മൂട്ടി, സുരേഷ് ഗോപി, ദിലീപ്, ജയറാം, പൃഥ്വിരാജ്, കുഞ്ചാക്കോ ബോബൻ, ജയസൂര്യ എന്നിവർ ഇതിൽ പെടും.

2003ൽ വിജയമായിരുന്ന CID മൂസ, ക്രോണിക് ബാച്ചലർ" എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലും ഭാവന അഭിനയിച്ചു. 2004-ലെ ഭാവനയുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങളായ യൂത്ത് ഫെസ്റ്റിവൽ, പറയാം, ബം‌ഗ്ലാവിൽ ഔത, എന്നിവ പരാജയങ്ങളായിരുന്നു.

 2005 ൽ വീണ്ടും ചില നല്ല ചിത്രങ്ങളായ ദൈവനാമത്തിൽ, നരൻ എന്നിവ ഭാവനക്ക് ലഭിച്ചു. ഇതിൽ ദൈവനാമത്തിൽ എന്ന സിനിമയിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചതിന് കേരള സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാറിന്റെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ മികച്ച നടിക്കുള്ള പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ചു 2006 ഭാവന രണ്ട് സിനിമകളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു. ചിന്താമണി കൊലക്കേസ്, ചെസ്സ് എന്നിവയായിരുന്നു അവ‍.

തമിഴിൽ ഭാവന അഭിനയിച്ച ആദ്യ സിനിമ കൂടൽ നഗർ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയില്ല. പക്ഷേ പിന്നീട് 2007 അതു പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. ഭാവനയുടെ ആദ്യം റിലീസ് ചെയ്ത തമിഴ് സിനിമ ചിത്തിരം പേസുതെടീ ആയിരുന്നു. ഇതു തമിഴിൽ വിജയിച്ച ഒരു സിനിമയായിരുന്നു. അതിനു ശേഷം തമിഴിലും തെലുങ്കിലും ധാരാളം അവസരങ്ങൾ ഭാവനക്ക് ലഭിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി. 2008 മുതൽ ഭാവന ഗ്ലാമർ പരിവേഷമുള്ള ചിത്രങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തു തുടങ്ങി.
